Stage 1
Romsey Transport will attend your premises, identify the offending vehicle, complete a full risk assessment of the vehicle then serve a notice. The notice gives the owner seven days to remove the vehicle. We will also attempt to directly contact the registered keeper to discuss the removal of the vehicle in question and hopefully resolve the issue without further action. Cost of this process is £200 + VAT
Stage 2
If we are unable to contact the registered keeper or the owner, and the initial seven day period has expired, Romsey transport will then contact DVLA for the full information surrounding the last registered keeper. Running alongside this process we will liaise with the police and check further information to make sure the vehicle is not stolen. And take appropriate action. Cost of this process is £70 + VAT
Stage 3
If we reach this point and all efforts have been exhausted to contact the owner or the keeper of the vehicle to discuss removal, we will collect the vehicle with one of our recovery trucks and store for a further two weeks pending disposal. At this point we will also supply you with a full report including details of the registered keeper should you wish to take legal action to reclaim your expenses. Cost of this process is dependant on location, and will be quoted prior to collection. But typically between £250-£450 + VAT. This includes storage costs for 14 days.
